The burden of suicide in Australia is comparable with other major, better understood chronic diseases.
The Australian Government has recently released its report on suicide, “The Hidden Toll: Suicide in Australia.” It details the impact of suicide on the community, highlighting the fact that we still have major problems reporting, treating and understanding the issues.
