Case Study: I Told Them but They Didn't Listen

Ms L is a right handed 46 year old who was employed for ten years to pack domestic cleaning chemicals. She was exposed to these chemicals in dust form.

She was diagnosed with atrophic rhinitis, with symptoms including a loss of smell, poor sense of taste, excessive mucus.  She also has a daily cough producing green and yellow phlegm. During the course of her work packing the powdered chemicals, occasional spills occurred which Ms L was required to clean up and manually return to the hopper. The role also involved heavy lifting (up to 25kg) and there was little ventilation in the room...
