Webinar recording — RTW by design: Building efficient, person-centred workplace systems

Dr Mary Wyatt

Good return to work doesn't happen by accident. It's built. Learn how to design the workplace systems, roles and culture that make recovery faster, fairer and more sustainable.

This webinar marks the launch of the updated second edition of the Workplace Systems Handbook, a rtwmatters.org resource that explores how well-designed organisational systems can improve RTW outcomes and reduce the human and financial costs of work injury.

Dr Mary Wyatt walks through the practical steps medium to large employers can take to build RTW systems that are efficient, person-centred and compliant with psychosocial safety obligations.

Key topics include:

  • the systems that matter most: injury reporting, early psychosocial screening and matched care and what the evidence says about their impact

  • defining clear roles and building a workplace culture that supports recovery and prevents psychosocial hazards during RTW

  • practical strategies for engaging supervisors and senior leaders and assessing where your current system needs improvement.
