This guide has been developed for executives, policy and operational leaders, and decision-makers who are considering the implementation of psychosocial matched care at a system level. The primary audience includes senior leaders within insurers, claims agents and regulatory bodies, as well public and private large employers, and self-insurers considering this approach.
The guide provides the strategic framework, evidence base and implementation considerations needed to evaluate and plan for psychosocial matched care at an organisational level. While some content is included for operational staff training and stakeholder communication, the guide is designed primarily for those working on system-wide implementation rather than frontline delivery.
We are grateful to senior industry leaders from insurers and claims agents who provided valuable feedback on the draft. Their insights have helped shape this document into what we hope will be a practical resource for organisation-wide implementation of psychosocial matched care.
This guide builds on the 2018 Best Practice Guide1 that focused on assessing an individual's psychosocial barriers. This updated version delves into the implementation of psychosocial matched care at a system level.
