Reasons for not feeling ready to return to work

All injured workers who returned to work but reported that they did not feel ready to RTW were asked why they did not feel ready. Multiple responses were accepted.

 

In 2011-12, 85% of Queensland workers who did not feel ready to return to work cited injury or pain as the reason they were unready to return to work.

 

8% said that pressure from their employer, doctor or insurer was responsible - the same figure as in 2010-11. 11% of Queensland workers were likely to describe the duties or hours they were offered as a reason they were not ready to return to work. 4% of workers felt mentally unprepared, compared with 7% in 2010-11.
