Regular worker surveys

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

One effective way an organisation can assess their system is to regularly survey workers who have had an injury. This provides valuable insights into the worker's experience, can highlight any issues early for individual cases and also helps the organisation understand any systemic gaps.

A survey tool has been developed that can be used at one week, one month, 3 months or as often as the organisation wishes.

This survey is designed to gather information about the worker's RTW experience and covers various aspects of the RTW process. It can be particularly useful in the first week and the first month after the initial report of injury. This timing supports quick remediation of barriers to work at a case and system level.

By asking workers directly about their experiences, organisations can:

identify problems early in the RTW process

understand what they're dealing with in real-time

address important issues before they escalate

gain insights into the effectiveness of their RTW program.
