This follow-up study examined the relationship between the after-hours physical activity of workers and their absences from work due to sick leave.

Take Home Messages: Workers who are physically active in their leisure time report significantly fewer absences due to sick leave, including shorter periods of sick leave taken and fewer days of sickness absence per year.
