For systems

While individual results are useful for individual cases, accumulated triage digital data can also contribute to system understanding and continuous system improvements.

Understanding triage data at an organisation and scheme level can assist schemes in these ways:

While psychosocial barriers have been recognised for decades, understanding the results of screening at a population level contributes to our understanding of how we can improve work injury schemes.

This helps to identify the extent of psychosocial barriers, the support and systems needed to undertake routine assessments and the scale of the workforce needed to provide appropriate care.

Baseline results can be compared to post-intervention follow-up measurements. This allows organisations and schemes to compare the effectiveness of treatment options, providers, the number and frequency of treatments and to analyse innovative approaches — for example, psychosocial counselling apps.
