RTW coordinators are responsible for :
•coordinating the key players in RTW to ensure a collaborative, biopsychosocial approach.
•implementing and overseeing psychosocial screening processes
•coordinating matched care interventions based on identified psychosocial needs
•assisting the employee and supervisor to develop individualised RTW plans that address both physical and psychosocial factors
•ensuring that the employee and their family obtain appropriate medical and psychosocial support
•developing relationships with key internal and external participants to support a holistic approach to RTW
•creating and maintaining an atmosphere of trust and support
•coordinating staff training in RTW management, including education on psychosocial factors
•developing, maintaining and implementing effective work disability policies and procedures that incorporate psychosocial considerations
•regularly reviewing and updating RTW plans based on the worker's progress and any changing circumstances
•acting as a liaison between all stakeholders, including the injured worker, supervisors, healthcare providers and insurers.
•monitoring the effectiveness of RTW interventions and making necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
