Healthcare workers, violence and RTW

Violence can lead to a complex combination of physical and psychological injury. Workers who suffer a violent workplace injury have a different RTW trajectory than those who haven't. Some will need extra support - these are the signs.

Healthcare workers who suffer a violent injury at work have a more difficult path to RTW than those injured by non-violent means. Healthcare workers who sustain a psychological injury due to a violent workplace incident are more likely to have extended periods off work than those who sustain a physical injury.
