About this event

With psychosocial regulations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 now in effect, join us to learn more about one of the most common psychosocial hazards found within workplaces - poorly managed change.

Whilst workplace change is normal and can bring many benefits such as growth and innovation, if not managed well, change can impact the psychosocial work environment increasing risks to worker health. It can also lead to workers feeling anxious and uncertain about their work.

This 1.5 hour interactive workshop hosted by ReturnToWorkSA's Mentally Healthy Workplaces Service, and co-presented by Samantha Atkins, Principal Inspector - Organisational Psychology, SafeWork SA, and Gagan Mudhar, Head of Organisational Services, Transitioning Well will discuss what is poor organisational change management and how to manage change well through the principles of consultation, communication, taking a risk mangement approach and providing support throughout the process. The session will also connect you to a range of guidance materials on managing change including the National Mental Health Commission's Managing Change and Disruption Series.

The workshop is suitable for employers, WHS Managers, HR Managers, RTW Coordinators and others in the workplace who would like to learn how to take a proactive approach in managing change and maintain a healthy and supportive workplace environment along the way.
