With psychosocial regulations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 in effect since December 2023, join us to learn more about of the group of psychosocial hazards known as harmful behaviours. Harmful behaviours include bullying, harassment, sexual harassment, violence and aggression, and conflict or poor workplace relationships. Harmful behaviours can have significant negative impacts on individuals and workplaces – eroding culture and safety.

 

This 2 hour interactive workshop hosted by ReturnToWorkSA's Mentally Healthy Workplaces Service, and co-presented by Samantha Atkins, Principal Inspector - Organisational Psychology, SafeWork SA, and Dr Annabelle Neall, Senior Lecturer in Mental Health and Wellbeing, Flinders University, will discuss harmful behaviours and why it is so important to address them, the causes of harmful behaviours, how to address harmful behaviours taking a risk management approach, the role of leadership, and what the latest research tell us about practical solutions. The session is designed to be interactive, with dedicated time for questions towards the end of the session. You will also be provided with a range of guidance materials, tools and resources.

 

The workshop is suitable for employers, WHS Managers, HR Managers, RTW Coordinators and others in the workplace who would like to learn how to take a proactive approach in addressing harmful behaviours in the workplace.
