About this event

Join ReturnToWorkSA and SafeWork SA to learn how to manage psychosocial hazards and risks to create a safe and healthy workplace.

Learn more about the psychosocial regulations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 which came into effect in December 2023 and what this means for your workplace.

This 1.5 hour workshop hosted by ReturnToWorkSA's Mentally Healthy Workplaces Service, and David Knight, Education and Engagement Advisor from SafeWork SA, will guide participants through the risk management process to effectively identify and manage psychosocial hazards in the workplace.

Psychosocial hazards are aspects of work which have the potential to cause psychological harm, such as high work demands, poor support, lack of role clarity, harmful behaviours and poorly managed change.

To assist workplaces to proactively manage psychosocial hazards and risks, the workshop will discuss approaches to address risks with a range of guidance materials and factsheets that are freely available to workplaces. This includes the Model Code of Practice from Safe Work Australia and the People at Work Tool - an evidence based Australian psychosocial risk assessment tool.

This workshop is suitable for employers, WHS Managers, RTW Coordinators and other Managers who would like to learn more about how to address psychosocial hazards & risks in the workplace, an essential part of creating a safe and heathy workplace.
