Return to Work obligations for Labour Hire Providers and Host Employers. Condensed version of the Sept/Oct workshop.
In December 2024, changes to the Return to Work Act 2014 introduced new obligations for host employers when a labour hire worker is injured.
Important: This workshop focuses solely on the return to work reforms. If you attended the Navigating Labour Hire: From Licensing to Return to Work workshops delivered in September or October 2026, you have already received this content. This session is a condensed one-hour version of the return to work component of those workshops and has been developed for attendees who were unable to attend the original session or who are specifically interested in the return to work obligations.
The session will explore:
• Host employer responsibilities in supporting return to work outcomes
• Practical strategies for strengthening partnerships between labour hire providers and host employers
• Approaches to achieving better return to work outcomes for workers in labour hire arrangements.
This session focuses solely on the return-to-work reforms and does not cover the labour hire licensing or remuneration reporting requirements that were covered as part of the September & October workshops.
Whether you are a labour hire provider, host employer, or professional supporting recovery and return to work outcomes, this workshop will provide valuable insights to help you understand the changes, meet your obligations and support positive outcomes for workers.
An email will be sent to all registered participants 24 hours prior to the event with instructions on how to access the workshop, including the Microsoft Teams link. This workshop will not be recorded.
