Competencies required for effective return-to-work coordination

A recent review of the literature has identified the core competencies that are important for effective return-to-work coordination.

Take Home Messages: The most important competencies identified for effective RTW coordination were considered to be ergonomic and job accommodation, worksite communication and conflict resolution. As the identified competencies relate to interpersonal skills and organizational experience, the researchers suggest on-the-job training and mentorship may be effective methods of developing the required skills.
