Organisations have a lot to gain from battling insomnia, with benefits ranging from increased productivity, less burnout, better worker mental health and fewer workplace accidents. And research shows that workplace interventions can improve sleep.

Sleep and mental health are strongly connected. Both influence the other: poor mental health can lead to poor sleep and poor sleep also has a deleterious effect on mental health. (It’s not great for physical health, either.) And, of course, work pressures can impact sleep and mental health, with workplace productivity, safety and mood impacted in turn.
