Mr L, a tall, solid-framed, right-handed 58 year old man, reported pain in his right elbow. While improvement was reported over six months, he began to notice similar symptoms at his left elbow.

Mr L worked as a full time warehouse order picker, and his problems began after a transfer to an area that required handling heavier items and working longer hours. The items handled varied in size and weight, with repeated lifting of heavy items, up to 20kg.  One day Mr L was holding a fragile heavy item and then it slipped from one hand.
