Vic Ombudsman: inquiry into workers' compensation

The Victorian Ombudsman, Deborah Glass, has begun an investigation into the handling of workers’ compensation claims.

The Ombudsman made the decision to investigate after receiving 370 complaints in the 2014-2015 financial year. This is up from 246 in the previous financial year. The Accident Compensation Conciliation Service annual reports also show an increase, from 5.2% to 13.6% in the last two financial years.
