A partnership between researchers and a workers compensation insurer (WorkCover Queensland) is an example of what can be done when evidence informs practice.

Workers can find engaging with work injury insurers and the claims processes — particularly delays in decisions, rigid processes and poor communication — stressful, and this can get in the way of a successful RTW.  Case managers therefore have a critical role in achieving successful outcomes for employers and workers.
